Ummmm...now where was i?

My big brother has jumped on the blogwagon....Check him out here:  D's Dock
It's a pretty nice place just to hang out...sit back and enjoy.

I am going to join The D in welcoming our new president into office tonight.  My prayers are with him as he faces the many issues before him.  "They are serious and they are many."  Yes, indeed they are. Today he wrote history, tomorrow he goes to work.

I would hope that after all the hard work we have done to erase the lines of race that those lines do not ease their way back into our society "because" he is black.  I think Mr. Obama has in fact demonstrated that hard work and dedication will open many paths of opportunity for each of us.

Now I am going to get a little bit tacky and address...Mrs. O's garb for the day.  The lady needs to hire a fashion consultant.  I am all for saving a buck, buying from Walmart, etc., but when you get in high places it means you almost have to buy hi fashion...you know....hot coffers (say that with a French accent and you'll get it.)  But money does not have anything to do with ugly or not ugly.  I like yellow...it is a good color on her, even, but really, the polyester leisure suit look was not good....even if it was made with sparklies.  And this ballgown....I think someone tore the strap off it....it's ratty looking.  Moth-eaten looking, even.

Embrace the change.

Hey Sista!! Thanks for visiting my blog and linking it to yours. Maybe on Sumday I'll get it looking as fresh as yours. Actually I think Ms. O's dress was rather nice, but a black/red/green bonnet would have brought out more color from the off white dress. I know...That was naughty...She is finally proud of America!

I just don't have much to say about Mr. O and Mrs. O. I didn't watch... I'm tired of the media hype and all that. I'm looking forward to the coming weeks when they hype dies down. Regardless, the man needs our prayers - that is FOR SURE.
