Step Step Step Run Run Run left right left right

Rolled out at 3:45 am, donned my p-jammers (the winter ones) and winter coat, and headed out the door.  Walking.  1/2 hour each morning.  Supposed to be healthy. But, it scares me.  It takes me exactly 30 minutes to get this body warm enough and then blammo.  I got to poop.  I am thinking it might be worth investing in a bag of Depends. You know, morning walk wear.  But the deal is I have to meet my bud to walk and if I get up any earlier in the morning to warm up prior to walking, I might as well not even go to bed.  So I am addressing this issue by applying heavy psychological bs mantras for the last five minutes of the walk home ~ which i do by myself.  You know, chanting.  "I don't gotta go, I don't gotta go" or "I can make it, I can make it."  This technique was developed long ago when my mother used to leave us five kids in the car while she "ran into" the store.  These little runs usually were about an hour long and most often, I found myself having to go pee.  So someone in the family (it is not necessary to name names) taught me to bounce up and down on the car seat all the while holding myself and singing a made up song.  I am happy to report that so far the mantra-method has worked.

Wow!! Great to hear you are working to get in shape. I can't do the morning gig. Got the same problem, so I don't become active until later in the day. "Course, I don't have a job like you do!

You are too funny.

I could get up early and walk or exercise. But then I'd have to go back to bed.

Did you do something to the comments? Because today they're coming up like the way they do on my blog?

So.

For the past several mornings, it has been my usual routine. Wake up, pee, make my bed, pick up whatever needs to be done in the bedroom, go check e-mail until it's time to take Chris to school.

But for the past several mornings, just as I'm about to leave...

I have to poop.
