Here's to the Queen of Sheba

Who was nothing more than an amoeba.
She walked like a dog and ate like a hog
and now lays around like a log.

what is that,,,,a haiku?  i don't think so.  i think it is a limerick.  i wonder if the semantics are right.  or is that pedantic?  you have to be a pterodactyl to know.

and now......for friday.  it has been a long week.  too much excitement with my birthday and all.

Well, since you asked... it's *almost* a limerick. The rhyme scheme for a limerick should be A A B B A, but sadly yours is A A B B B. It's the whole log thing that ruins it. ;)

BUT you get bonus points for the silent P in pterodactyl!

I know, 'cuz C's spelling bee is tomorrow.

PS

In 3rd grade I wrote a limerick. I can't remember it all but it started like this:

There once was a lady named Mabel.
She had a baby in a stable.

Uh oh - that can't be good.

I also wrote an awful haiku, which still hangs in my grandpa's kitchen:

Horses, spirited,
Wild and free they run.
Tamed and ridden.
