I plumb forgot.....or is that, I pumpkin forgot.
Can't (shouldn't) eat candy anymore.
Have trouble finding clothes to wear every morning, why deliberate over a costume for just today?
Yeah, I was even sitting here with my front door open, lights on in the house, but not on out front, when these noodle-brains pounded on my screen door and hollered, "Trick or Treat!" Can you believe it? (Yes, probably). I didn't even flinch. I just yelled back, "Ain't no trickertreats here!"
They just stood there, probably for 30 seconds. LOL Okay so after they left I got up and shut the front door.
Killjoy. I know.
Even the A called to see if we were celebrating. AEURNT nope we are not. Laid down at 6 to take a power nap. Mr. is still powernapping and its after 8.
But don't be too upset. I went blogging and looked at every Halloween pic posted tonight ~ and believe me there are a ton of them. From princesses to potatoes. And Sarah Palin said she was being Tina Fey. Yeah!

The Empty House
They're gone.
They only come 'home' when they can and/or want to.
I miss them. I find myself wondering all the time what they are up to.
I still have Lu Lu, the bird that won't shut-up, and Muffins, the cat that won't die. Oh yeah, and there's always Wayne.
Yes indeedy....life is good

As Simple as Pie
The good Lord does answer prayers. Some of them even before you have figured out you need to say a prayer!
I have been reading everything I can find online regarding Word:MAC including the Help within the software program itself. Searching and searching again to find out "how" to do it more efficiently. Formatting bulletins line by line really is not very productive at all and certainly not efficient. But today....ah today....my world changed. One of the other ladies at the office said, "Here, let me show you how." Fifteen minutes later, I am by no means an expert, but I got exactly what I needed to do this job. I advanced 1 million times today over the advances I have made in the last two weeks. I could hardly break myself away from the blind bulletin I was working on and I can hardly wait to wake up and go to work in the morning.
Oh...lol...(I just just love chuckling to my self as I write these blogs)....I volunteered last week to take over the job of burning the sermon message to CD and making copies for those who make such requests. But yesterday, I stalled out, explaining to Pastor that apparently my MAC doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. I looked all over that "machine" and the only slot I found that looked like a drive appeared to be filled in with hard plastic, you know like the kind you would pop out if you put a drive in. That was until this morning when I spoke with my boss about it. The slot is not filled with plastic. It is for the CD/DVD that is in the machine....if you take your glasses off and look closer you can easily see those little "hair thingies" they put in slots to keep dust out. Go figure. In the end, I successfully burned a sermon message to a CD....with no help at all. Yay!
I am tellin' ya, this job has got to be a slice of Heaven. I have never even thought it could be this good.
G'night, sleep tight.

It Just Quietly Slips By
Lessons continue to be learned.
Don't sit and wait for things you need to meet your deadlines, even if "they" told you not to bother the person that is supposed to get you the stuff, regardless of who ever the person may be, and what ever it may be that they are supposed to give you. Bother the person.
PROOF everything. Even when you don't want to. And if just doesn't sit right, go ask,,,,go tell the person,,,,,that it just doesn't sit right.
Contemporary music has no punctuation. Why is that? Laziness? Creative license? I don't mind it myself, however, everyone should know the rule so that they are not "proofing" stuff the don't need to proof.
Copyrights are not necessarily easy to find. Even when you have a license that gives you access to just about every song in the world. Copyrights are even harder to type. Tabs and hanging indents are not my forte'.
I love LARGE Print bulletins aka "The Blind Bulletins". LOL When I was sitting being trained a couple of weeks ago, I bit my tongue bloody from calling them that. But they are mine now...and I call them "The Blind Bulletins". Did you know when you increase the font 6x's you lose all sense of tabs and centers. I think it is because the size of the column itself has not increased. But who can increase the column 6x's? More practice coming is all I can say.
Practice. That is what I call a weeks worth of creating and recreating for the grand finale. This last week, in closing our 40 Days of Purpose campaign, I chose a lovely lizard green paper. Quite bright. (No, the blind bulletins stayed white...much too much contrast, the green was.)
This coming weekend is Reformation Sunday. It's actually a pretty big deal in the Lutheran Church ~ (if only Martin Luther knew)...... I think I will shop for some light-wine colored, perhaps "unobtrusively dappled" paper.
And in the end, measure twice cut once.....

5045 + Y = X
Baffling isn't it.
At one time I had learned math so well I could actually figure out equations of X and Y. But this one, THIS one, has always left me wondering. What in the heck does this mean?
If I plug in Y with any number, X could be anything.
So is this an equation of potential possibilities with no right or wrong answer? More like a personality test or some other philosophical question. Perhaps even a Microsoft question. Does this mean all things are linked to math? I never thought that was true, but now I am beginning to think.....
Think? UmmmmmmNO.
Here's to all the C-A-P-I-T-A-L-S of the world.
Love ya's.

Two weeks ago
i stayed after bible study to talk with a buddy of mine and her mother. let me tell you about her mom. last year, the side of her face and neck were swollen say 3x's the size of normal with lymphoma. it had been like that for a long time. she finally broke down and went to a doctor. chemo. but while all that was going on the prayers started...and the continue to this day in praise to God the Healer. she is completely free of the problem. free like it was never there in the first place. miracle. she's getting her hair back now, its short and just as curly as can be. her story is so very encouraging..... well we were joined by a third buddy of mine. this lady is the head of the quilting ministry. and let me tell ya, she is a prayer warrior that knows no bounds. we were all about ready to go, but my buddy's mom insisted that she pray over the prayer warrior for thyroid issues that were popping up. nodules. and she was due an ultra sound withing the next couple of days. when we were done praying, she just kind of sat back in her chair and said she began feeling tingling in the thyroid area about the time the prayer started. and she said she believed that what ever had been there was gone. check this out now....hold on to your chairs. i just got an email from her. her ultra sound and other assorted tests that she had done....all negative. no thyroid issues. totally normal. no nodules. miracle
i saw it happen. amazing.

Come, let us worship and bow down.....
You turned my waiting into dancing:
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy
that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.
