Weather or Not

did you ever notice that when one doesn't have a whole lot to say, the conversation turns to weather?  Tonight's topic; weather.
it's hot.  not as hot but still hot.  over 100 today, the start of our third heat wave for 2009.  they are saying that by the weekend we will be back in the high 80's.  now that would be novel.
but the other thing that i learned about weather is that last friday was the zenith for the high temperatures in this part of the country.  we are now on the down side of hot and slowly it will get cooler now.
they have more things bundled up in rugs of statistics than you can shake a finger at!  although it was nice to know that statistically thinking, the hot weather is on its way out, but really,,,,you know as well as i we are going to linger in the 100's for the next two months.  and that doesn't even get us past the proverbial indian summers that spend their days with us come october.
i do not know how i made it through my pre-nuke summers.

hope you got it cool

It doesn't take too long for some folks to forget where they came from. My kids are often saying they don't want to ride their bikes or play outside because it's too hot - usually in the 80s somewhere. I just remind them that in Cali where much of our family is it is 30 degrees - that's almost 40%! - hotter.

I am thankful, and it's one of the reasons we chose CO... I only run the a/c maybe 2 or 3 days a week this summer... There were days in CA that I would be wet with sweat before I could even get the car running. Yeah... I'm glad we found a cooler place.

Now on the flip side it's colder here in the winters, but I like cold. I would much rather be chilled and awake and snuggled in sweats and sweaters than dripping with sweat and BO during the summer.

Yes, I'm rambling. It's still early.
