it has been hot. not only the week has come and gone, but the weekend is gone too. it was a good week. sent the man off with new boots and attitude on monday. even after all these years it is most like going off to school. monday it was eyes wide open. tuesday still a bit overwhelming, but by wednesday it was better. still a learning curve to deal with. where he was making little teeny weenie parts he is making gargantuan parts comparatively speaking. it amazes me that these parts are actually used in the multitude of machines out there ~ all designed by some man's mind. of course although i refuse to learn and/or remember the science behind it all i am rather fascinatedby how things work. like screws. which came first the screw or the nail? but did you know that screws are actually lifters? go here to find out more --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_machine i know some of you will actually go look that. it is pretty interesting.....okay a little intesting.

Josh got to study simple machines in his GT class last spring. They were building all sorts of these things with Erector sets and such - remember those? I still don't get it. Even the Wiki page is over my head. :)
mechanically, i can see it. my brain doesn't do the way thing on this stuff. josh is brilliant. you can see it in his eyes. me...my eyes are very dim now days : )
