Repository of receipts

I can remember back when I was a teenager someone informed me that I needed to start carrying a purse. They never told me why so much, just that it was something that was necessary to be deemed "normal". So I began the search. There was a purse that I had seen once much much earlier in my life. It was sort of a saddle bag thing, leather, zippers, pockets; all in all, pretty cool. Haven't seen one like it since, but even today I keep looking. Anywho.... When I finally found "the" purse I had to have, I took one look at the price tag and placed it back on the shelf. Here we are 40 years later and I still have the problem. You know why???? Because if I bought "that" purse. the one that suits my fancy just right, I would not have any money left to put in it. And then I would not need a purse. The purse I have now, Mr. P got for me. Its one of those high-falutin' one, (no, not doone and barney or whatever those million-dollar babies are called) And he did not pay the "real" price on it, because the dipstick of a clerk at the register rang it up wrong ~ even after a price check. But anyway, I did not buy it. Mix the purse with an ATM card and what do you get? A receipt repository. I hate it. No longer am I carrying a purse to be "normal" or cool....I have to carry one because I have to save my receipts to balance them out with my bank. I know, I should have enough money in the bank not to worry about it. But I don't ~ I have a purse.

Okay, the Nuking of the Thyroid is set to happen on Friday. It has been confirmed ~ I am hot.
DUH. I am hot in many ways!!! Huh, Mr. P?

I gotta hop off of here....puter is still out. This one is high-jacked. : ) Thank God for adult children that stash stuff at their parents' house.

Oooohh... purses. I have to say, that purses do something to me... I don't have a lot (although Ro might think so) but every once in awhile I am overcome with the *need* to find a new purse. I love small ones, with lots of pockets and places to organize. My current one is like that and whenever I have to pay for something it takes me 5 minutes to remember which part to unzip and into which pocket I put my debit card. hehehe I love plaid ones. I've yet to find a small, plaid one that was cute. And I have a quest as well - I love love love the look of certain Burberry handbags but I, too, would never pay that price - or even half that price - MAYBE 10% - for a purse. But if I could ever find something that looked that cute... ah... my heart is pitter-pattering just thinking about it.

And... there's very little in my purse, too. No makeup, no brush - mostly, like you, my debit card, checkbook (that I never use), and receipts. AAA card and library card... and often, when I go in the store, the purse stays in the car. LOL

Praying for you nuking. :) God is in control, and He loves You. As do I. :)
