Just caught wind of the increase in postage. I would venture to say that I do 99% of my business online, but there are occaisions (albeit extremely rare ones) that I do actually use mail (snail-mail). Up two more cents. That's a loss of my two cents worth.
Why, I remember when you could send an air-mail letter for six cents from Europe to the US. And that is only because everyone was belly-aching over the raise of postage by .... two cents.
So what is with the two cents thing? Why not one cent? Why not five cents?
Give me your two-cents worth. I gotta go mail my letter.

WHAT?! Sheesh. I really don't use much postage either, except for Pampered Chef, and for that I use a lot! It's insane to spend nearly 50 cents to send a letter! I spend $5 to mail a packet. No wonder everyone is going so digital, huh?
When does it take effect, do you know?
Why is it that the UPS and Fedex have operated with a profit since they began, but the USPS is millions in the hole each year? The USPS needs to lay off employees just like everyone else. They are just about worthless anyway and raise their prices to keep their jobs. Privatize all government operations and we'll save a bundle. Whew!
increase the price of first-class stamps by 2 cents – to 46 cents – starting in January. Other postage costs would rise as well....
and they have cut 40,000 jobs
