Nothin' much really

Seems like an awful long time since I joined my friends on their dock and in their trees.  Just wandered by and don't really see anyone around, but for those that come later, I will leave my thoughts.

Back on March 3rd, I was to have appeared before the BoS to accept their proclamation recognizing 30 years of employment.  Well, long story short, I did not go.  Basically after 4 screw ups in scheduling they called at 6pm and left a message for me to be there at 8, rather than 9 as scheduled.  That was the final jerk by them....all of them.   I just didn't show up.  Believe me it was a very hard decision, because really, I EARNED that recognition.  But I have long since learned their recognition is nothing but a false gift as they have proved time and time again their employees are of little value.

Tonight, I received my proclamation in the mail ~ after I called the dept. and asked that they mail it to me.  Can you believe it is wrong!!?!?!?!?!!!  It is poorly written and has wrong information regarding my career.  All I can say at this juncture is that I hope somewhere in those 30 years I did make a positive influence in a life of somebody, a manager, an employee, a co-worker, a client.  Obviously, my employer knew little about me,,,,,,,and cared even less.
Sad.

Well let's see.  What else has been goin' on.  Oh, I know, I can tell you about Frank Parker ~ Great Dane extraordinaire.  He came to live with us, here at Sister's Dog Ranch, for a few short weeks.  He was quite the bully.  Big dog.  Good dog.  But really a big, good dog for someone other than the ranch caretakers.  And so he went back to whence he came, and hopefully will find someone that will have the time to fill his attention needs and love all over him.  I sure will be glad when Sister's bunk house is open.  Arf.

Weather.  We have gone from Zero to 80 all in one week and back again.  Tomorrow, three days into Spring, I do believe it will be back and hopefully will hang a little longer than a week.  I likes wearing shorts.  I likes spring flowers and gardening.  I likes others who do inside spring cleaning.

Be kind to one another.

Well, I have felt your pain regarding careers. The pages have turned, and soon only a few will ever remember those dedicated employees who loved their jobs.
