yup it works

so i am reading about this lady that fell asleep on a plane, which landed somewhere around midnite, only to wake up ~ alone ~ at four in the morning when a cleaning crew found her. she is suing the airline. comments about ~ like why all the sue-happy people, flight attendants are not baby sitters, etc. everyone has an opinion. mine is that they should make a made-for-tv movie about the incident. kind of like The Langaliers.

do ever just sit and listen to people that talk to themselves and then realize it is actually you they are speaking to? its is certainly an unexpected phenomona in my life.

i like the word phenomona. i never really know to say phenomona or phenomonem. you know, living in a ms world there is no right or wrong way....just many ways to do things.

i seem to have lost my cursor. and i don't know how to get it back because i dont know where it went. i wonder if i can publish this without losing what i have written.

whew....i'm back and i didn't lose my post. how's that for luck. your luck...cause if it wasn't here i am sure i could not replicate what i have written. it has taken me hours to compose [yeah, huh]

"I take it, you have no teeth?

Because the back of your tee-shirt says you are about the most pathetic dumb-sh** around.

and i quote, "i'll sell my wife for beer."

i did not see what the front of the tee-shirt said. but the back set me off enough to cause me to roll my window down and yell, "you are about as STUPID as your tee-shirt!!!" he turned around and looked at me like i was confused.

,,,,sell my wife for a beer!!! there is no confusion in that statement. i could just run his butt over in the parking lot and put some wife out of her misery.

despicable!

from the mouths of the experts

okay so i had to do it. i contacted the camera company and asked. here is their answer:
Some people are susceptible to dizziness when viewing displays.
This is simply a precaution.
I hope this information is helpful to you.

no it wasn't helpful to me...i do not equate dizziness with feelings of discomfort, mostly i liken it to feelings of euphoria.

this actually scares me. have you noticed that everything nowdays causes dizziness, migraines, SEIZURES? ...used to be that if i played back too much, i would just get fat(ter) but they have moved it way beyond being fat now. or even if you did that other thing too much you would go blind...and now they have proven that that can actually happen...just listen to the warnings for e.d. drugs. and we used to worry about advertisements for feminine products.

yep....getting old is certainly a brain tease.

i am going garage sailing today. and then to a wedding tonite.
exciting day...hope yours is too.

Peculiar

sometimes i think getting older is a brain tease. maybe when i was younger i was just too much in a hurry to notice some of the weird-ass things that are out there. this is stuff one just can not make up, and when i see it, literally in black and white, it makes me wonder all that much harder.

i bought a camera. a little pocket camera. its really nice. just like a's that she got after w dropped her's in the bay up in alaska a few years ago. i got a real good price on it, probably because it is being phased out, but what the heck, as long as i can get batteries for it..... it did, however, come without a memory chip. that kind of makes me mad that the manufacturer will sell only the camera and force you to buy a "got to have it" item just for it to work. that is not right. but the deal came with a free chip, which i didn't "purchase" at the time i bought the camera, and when i told the co. about it, they cut me a deal and will be sending me the "free" chip. of course i have to pay for the chip and they will refund my payment. now that is peculiar. doesn't that tug your brain? but this will ping ya hard.....this little camera has video capabilities. they dont get very good reviews on it and i didnt buy it for moving pictures, so it is no big deal, but this is peculiar. Check this out, it is from the manual. from the caution section. "Playing back for a long time may cause feelings of discomfort." Did you read that? what on God's green earth does that mean??????

honestly, i have been scratching my head for two days on this one. and i do not get it.

Freely

In a world where it seems where you can't get something for nothing, you can give something for nothing. There are plenty of opportunities to you, if you choose to participate. Giving is a matter of the heart. Giving unconditionally is a greater matter of the heart.

Here is an article about our troops in Iraq. The activities of the US Armed Forces are not all bad. They are allowing people an opportunity to grow. Take a look at this story. Sure its only about musical instruments in a community. But what is life without music? Help Army 'Team Nomad' Bring Music Back to Kurdish Kids. After you read this article look at the other opportunities you have to give support to these teams of American troops.

Pick one if you'd like. Thank God for His work through others.

What Makes 'Em Tick?

Sitting here this evening watching out the window. It has rained most of the afternoon. The rain was pretty hard and everything is soaked. Banger...she is outside. By herself. After standing around for a few minutes she found some rock or something that she began throwing up into the air catching it and running. She literally looked like a streak of strawberry going by. We have a hole in our backyard. It used to house a trampoline. Its four feet deep and sixteen feet in diameter. She runs around that hole like she is really going somewhere. Ears laid back flat ! i guess that is for the aero-dynmics. Uh oh. That rock or something...is now a red, red rose. She picks the roses....LOL you can't help but laugh while you watch and wonder, what makes her tick. She is a banger, that is for sure or...fur shur.

Today was administrative assistant day. I actually work at a place where the managers, every one of them, takes time out to acknowledge the admin. assts and other support staff that work there. It starts with devo/staff and ends with lunch out at their expense. It makes you feel good...appreciated. It really is wonderful that the "big" boss, the biggest one of all is truly "our" boss.

Thanks to my fav blog's playlist, I am just soaking up the last minutes of today's daylight to the music of David Crowder. What a wonderful musician. If you have never heard of him or heard him, take a few to check out his music. He praises our God from the heart....Perfect music for a trip to the thought dock even. He does make everything glorious. This year the green green grass is simply amazing and beautiful.

Well, I guess it is time to get the mud-dawg.

Enjoy the night.

At Other's Expense

We hear so much (and it seems even more so nowdays) about how this country is moving ever so quickly towards socialism. It's been coming for a long time now and as we near the gates it begins to stink with fear.

Latest from the prez ~ take advantage of the "new" tax credits. ugh. my timing is off. it always has been. i used all my money to dump the debt it took me 30+ years to get into ~ all while working!

i know some that bought their first house as "HUD Repos", others, that bought "Bank Repos" all of which are translated today to the polictically-correct, "foreclosures". i never had money at the time when the market was bad enough for others for me to profit from their losses. the majority of those people i know that bought these homes were able to captapult themselves into good solid home-ownership and made good for themselves in other areas. they worked to keep what they gained.

over the years, others bought their homes 'when the time was right'. money was good, perhaps boosted by an inheritance or gifts from others. but they continued to work to keep what they have gained.

and others have taken advantage of government subsidies that are meant to boost today's economy. it is up to them to continue to work to make good of what the gov. helped them with.

the thing here is most of the working class society works to support their habits; their families, their play. very few are able to plop down a lump of money to acquire their home on their own.

be careful when you cry "well so and so got their house from from gov. incentives, or repossessions, or ......" when it comes to homes, getting that "first start" more often than not, comes with help from others, not "off the backs of the slave".
