THE job

it happened. i done it. i have worked 30 years, turned into an old one, and now...retirement. and you know what....i am one of the lucky ones because i am retiring and getting to do something "i" want to do.

i got me a new job.

check out this title: administrative coordinator to the director of worship". wooohoooo.

even as i type this i wonder, "should i be typing 'properly'?" other than the caps, is that sentence, 1. gramatically correct and 2. punctuated properly? is this one? ....i find myself turning into a word freak.

this is scaring me.

i am leaving 30 years....count 'em....30 years of beating against the inside of governmental bureaucracy (sp?) and now i am going to be in the belly of the private, not-for-profit organization world. and im not gonna have to supervise!!!! this is one-on-one with the director of worship, himself. oh sure i have to work with the other ac's to other positions...but they aint my boss and i aint theirs!!!!

it has been all in His perfect timing. and i am so blessed with this opportunity. officially 30 years on 10/9.....new job starts 10/1.....old job ends 01/31/09. yahoody.

so far i have searched the traffic cams of loveland for my weirdo family members [ha ha]. I really don't know why they think this is such a weird thing to do. i think its a great plan! too bad it didn't work out. but we have learned it's all in the timing.



the bills are done. and i still don't have any money. i think i have too many bills. want some? i would be more than happy to share mine with you. just give me your account number and of course your routing number. then they will be yours. and i will have some money.



laundry is half-done. which is better than dinner being half-baked. still have time to finish both. but first...this bible study, day 4. i'm behind. check out BETH MOORE if you have not already met her. she's got something to teach you, something for you to say, "aha" about. find her study(s) in your local churches. they are awesome. This is my fourth one...The Patriarchs. has shiny stars on the front cover. and the food inside is great.



the "pig in lipstick" comment was over the top. the boy needs to sit down. now.

it was fun too, and i didn't spend a dime. i didn't even buy the fabric softener i need.

ms j is getting ready to set up a new apt. so it means shopping for it all. she bought the coolest dishes today....and i picked them out....lalalala..........

dog gone

i couldn't take his scooting across my page. he's gone. and so are the trail marks.

i have today off. that means i only worked three days this week. and i slept in this morning. which was cool, but i dumped my bike ride to do it. so now the dishes are done and im sitting here staring at the smorgasboard-floor in my kitchen that really really needs to be cleaned. but then i got caught up researching the "cricut" . what a cool gadget that is. im thinking christmas present here. and if you know that im thinking about it as "your" christmas present you better let me know....uh....put a bug in my ear. LOL

daughter #2, who passed the written exam for paramedic certification class this week, is due home in about a 1/2 hour. i wonder if she is taking me and daughter #1 to lunch. having adult children does have its perks. : ) just hope they dont have plans for a nursing home tour. its hard being on my best behavior all the time, ya know.

well the time has come to put on my housewife hat. i'll be back. maybe.

politically speaking

there. two weeks have flown by. i have been having fun at the presidential conventions.

so, where are you at in all this? The O-man almost got a good hold of me. and then, in a conversation i heard the word "socialism". ACK!! it was spoken very quietly, but hit me right between the eyes.

and then the 1st day of the rnc got delayed. hmmmph. or so i thought.

but you know.....for lieberman to step across the line (even if he was tossed over) and step up to the podium.....for palin to leave beautiful alaska, for thompson and even mitt to step in and give him their support....wow. and that cindy girl...she may be dumb looking, but i think that is one smart cookie (i am, however, concerned for her relationship with her mo-in-law...did you notice the lack of one?) anywaysssssssss

palin does not need to win because she is a woman or a mom. she is gonna take us where we need to go. mc cain is paving her way. all for one

i think more will be coming. soon. don't you?

for my morals, my values, my needs, i am going to look to mccain. and government....get out of my way!!!!!!
